6 Budget-Friendly Closet Staples To Get You Through Summer

6 Budget-Friendly Closet Staples to Get You Through Summer

OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS!!! The trends this summer are some of my favorites in a very, and I mean a VERY long time. Not to hate on the past summer styles but I mean…come on, you’ve let me down trendsetters of the world. Ok, bad joke, but seriously I can’t get enough! Since none of these need an introduction, let’s just get into it.

Tie-front Tops

Currently my number one trend right now. I love the different ways that the tie front top has been established, both in crop tops, bandeaus, dresses, and the go-to lazy day t-shirt. I think it adds a little touch of femininity while still giving you the option to style it your way. It’s an easy throw on too for my girls who don’t have time to fuss in the morning.

Frayed Hem jeans

This is one that took me a little longer to come on board with, but now I’m not only on board, I’m the fricken captain. Jk, but I do really enjoy this style. The frayed hem jeans come in pretty much any form of jean, and we all know our good old frayed shorts. I don’t know what it is about it but I think it’s a great street style look.

Co-ords/Matching Sets

Co-ordinates or better known as matching sets are so BIG right now. I mean, I kind of get it. It’s a dress that makes going to the restroom for us ladies, like 100 times more convenient. So thank you?

Mom Jeans/shorts

We knew it was coming but I actually don’t hate it, and what a better way to show love to our mother’s by using them as inspiration for our style? I think it’s something they’ll appreciate, plus think of all the free hand-me-downs you could get!

Wicker/Straw bags

This one came out of nowhere for me but I don’t mind. These purses are very cute and definitely fit that summery vibe. It’s also super easy to just grab and go and who doesn’t love that?

Scarves

WE HAVE A DOUBLE WHAMMY FOLKS!! Not only are scarves being used for ONE new trend, but TWO!!! For those of you who may not be familiar with this trend, welcome to a new view of a childhood bestie- bandanas. First, you can use it in your hair to add a bit more detail, or you can transform it into a top. Ok, this first one I am so excited about. I am so boring when it comes to my hair. It’s either always down with an occasional curl, or its thrown up in a messy bun. This is gonna be a great accessory to make it a little more exciting and make it look like I actually tried (lazy girl hair probs right?). The second one is definitely different but a great way to get more use out of items you already own. If you’re bold enough you can make your own or buy one that gives the same effect, up to you!

Those are the trends I have for you right now! I apologize ahead of time to my wallet and the future paychecks to be earned, you will not be spent wisely. Let me know what your favorites are in the comments below
