Fall Friday: 6 budget-friendly fall lip colors
| Peony |
I’ve been trying something new lately in order to try to spice up my fall a little more. I’m usually not a lipstick kinda girl but I recently got a lip crayon and it opened up a whole new world for me. Ok, ok, but I have been really excited to try adding some new lipsticks to my daily beauty routine- just not so excited at the thought of what it might cost! I am happy to tell you though that with a short trip to (our favorite little boutique) Target, there were some amazing finds at some decent prices.
So, I’ve put together this list of all the lipsticks I found that are budget-friendly and in all the fall shades we love!
Revlon Lip Crayon- “Enchanting” ($6.89)
I had to start with a good nude. It’s a really pretty orangey nude and I feel like this one would work well with many skin tones. It adds a nice coverage and is perfect for those days where you don’t want a bold lip. It is a matte lip so I paired it with a sheer balm to add just a little more shine to the subtle color.
Elf Day to Night Lip Crayon- “I Love Pinks” ($5.00)
Now I got this mainly for the “day” color, the “night” color is a bright pink and I’m not sure I’m ready to cross that bridge quite yet. The “day” color, however, is a really pretty blend of red and pink and is sort of a “rustic pink.” It is a very smooth application too, not too dry!
Loreal Paris Lipstick- “Mica” ($5.99)
Umm, ok, can we just take a minute? I feel like this color is the epitome of fall! It has a warm undertone of brown while still managing to look pink. Not to mention, it has a little shimmer that doesn’t overpower. It makes me want to cozy up in my comfiest sweater with a cup of cider and go jumping in piles of leaves. Anyone else?
Sonia Kashuk Lustrous Shine Lip Crayon- “Peony” ($8.99)
Now at first, I was expecting a pink shade just due to the name but it actually shows up on your lip as a warm cozy red. This one is definitely the perfect everyday color and is a statement lip for sure. I am still pretty comfortable with this one even though I’m not used to wearing a bold lip. I know this one is a little more expensive too but it is totally worth it!
| Copper Rose |
Maybelline Lip Stick- “Copper Rose” (Metallic) ($5.59)
Ok, I had to have fun with at least one of these colors right? I decided to try this copper rose color that was a part of the fall metallic line. I figured it was bold and fun while still being tame enough not to scare my boyfriend away haha. I think this one is my current favorite!
NYX Matte Lipstick- “Up the Bass” ($5.99)
This one I just instantly fell in love with. This one has a bit more of that purple shade that you can go towards in fall but it isn’t too pigmented and is still soft. When going towards purple I think you have to make sure it is warm enough where it won’t make you look cold when you wear it. I think this one has a good brown undertone that adds to the purple to do just that.
