It is no secret that I have been upping my denim game lately, and if it is, then you should follow me on Instagram so you don’t miss any new fashion finds (shameless plug, ya know)! There are so many different styles these days that makes putting together looks so much fun. Plus, nothing feels better than finding that perfect pair with a great shape that doesn’t sacrifice your comfort. Here is the line up of current denim trends I’ve been loving!
For reference, I am 5’10” and about 130ish pounds (I fluctuate about 2-3 pounds on either side).
Most of my jeans are from Abercrombie or American Eagle because I have been able to zero in on my correct size there which makes online shopping super easy. I am excited to try other brands in the future though, let me know if you have any recommendations below!
The 90’s Ultra High Rise
These jeans are on FIRE right now.! It seems like everybody is talking about these diagonal button jeans and I understand why. These jeans are really comfortable and snatch in your waist for ultimate shaping. Plus because of how the waist is angled I feel like it sits more comfortably on your stomach without bulging or digging in. The straight leg style here too is very popular right now as well and pairs well with really any shoe.
Cropped Mom Jeans
Mom jeans are still in but they have adapted in to so many different styles. These ones happen to be my go-to. They are fitted through the waist, hips, and booty but loosen up around the legs. These are also cropped fit which I happen to like. I feel like it is a vintage fit but I think it is so flattering! I usually get tons of compliments and questions when I wear these!
Curve Ultra High Rise Ankle Straight Jeans
This is a newer pair I picked up but I love the fit. I didn’t think that the curve would work on me as I have a pretty athletic build with minimal curves. BUT LOOK AT THESE! Again, a cropped pant because I feel like that is the style right now so it’s everywhere. This pair also has a comfortable give that doesn’t stretch out as you wear them which I love in a jean. It’s just one of the best pairs of black jeans I have owned thus far!
Following it up with another pair of the Curve Love jeans in white. This is a different style from A&F that they no longer make though they have different versions of this every year. I am a fan of the jeans that have rips over the knees rather than other places on my leg, its not too subtle but still tasteful. They do have ones with more rips available if that is more your style. These white ones are another great go-to though, I just can’t get over this fit!!
Honestly, jeans can be tough to find so when I find a pair I like, I have no shame in getting the same style in multiple washes. I also know that once you find a store that creates a good fit for you, it’s hard to look elsewhere. For that reason, I have found a few of these same styles from different stores in order to help you find your new favorite denim too! Stores from Gap, American Eagle H&M, and more! (Also, a lot of these styles are on sale right now!
Now, these are classic fits that are trending and simple to style. I haven’t tried out any of the fun patterned, bright colored, and flare jeans yet so I don’t have any recommendations there. Is this something you would want to see? Comment a link or style you would want me to test out below.
